A female Goldeneye was in the channel next to Tern Island, a flock of c20 Avocets were roosted in the main channel and two Little Grebes and a Lesser Black-backed Gull were also present, along with large numbers of the usual waders, ducks and Brent Geese, whilst there were also at least 500 Golden Plovers and 1000 Lapwings in the harbour.
