Ferry Pool: There were again c50 Lapwings and c30 Black-tailed Godwits present this morning, along with three pairs of Gadwall, three Shelducks, c50 Teal, c80 Shovelers and c150 Wigeon, plus a calling Cetti's Warbler. (AH)
Long Pool: It was very quiet this morning, with just two Yellowhammers and a dozen Linnets along the path, a Little Grebe on the pool, c50 Redshanks and a dozen or so Teal and Wigeon in the channel and a Peregrine sitting on a post out in the harbour. (AH)
Selsey Peninsula: There were still at least two Long-eared Owls present today. (Eds)
North Wall: Highlights of a quiet morning were a Marsh Harrier over the fields and 24 Black-tailed Godwits in Honer 2 field, whilst a Bar-tailed Godwit, c100 Knot and a scattering of Pintail, Wigeon and Teal were in the harbour, two Little Grebes were on the Breech Pool, six Grey Herons were in Owl Copse and four Cetti's Warblers were calling along the wall. Later on, the two Spotted Redshanks were in White's Creek and there were a remarkable 55 Snipe in the salt-marsh and flying about.
There were also c450 Knot and 400 Dunlin about, along with c300 Brent Geese and c20 Pintail, whilst along the wall there were a Rock Pip[it, three Reed Buntings and two calling water Rails. (PA)
Medmerry: Easton Lane to the Stilt Pool - It was very quiet late this afternoon, with a couple of Dartford Warblers and a dozen or so Yellowhammers and Linnets along the banks and four Avocets the only things of note on the Stilt Pool. (AH/SR)
Medmerry: Easton Lane to Wilson's Farm - It was surprisingly quiet, given the conditions, late this morning, with just a handful of Yellowhammers around the cover crop field, plus a couple more along the banks, whilst c100 Linnets, 20 Skylarks and a handful of Stock Doves were in the stubble fields.
Also, at least 300 Golden Plovers and 200 Lapwings flew up from the south of the reserve, but that really was it. (AH)

Ferry Pool: Around 50 Lapwings and 30 Black-tailed Godwits were present at high tide this morning, along with six Gadwall, four Shelducks, c40 Teal, c70 Shovelers and at least 150 Wigeon. (AH)
Church Norton: There was nothing beyond the usual this morning, but there were a lot of birds present on the rising tide, including at least 2000+ Brent Geese, plus the Pale-bellied bird, c30 Pintail and Teal, c50 Wigeon, eight Bar-tailed Godwits, the Whimbrel, c500 Knot and Dunlin, c2100 Grey Plovers and, further down, at least 500 Lapwings and Grey Plovers. North Wall: At Halsey’s Farm this morning, ten Lesser Redpolls were in the trees by the road and two Great Spotted Woodpeckers and a Song Thrush were also about, a flock of 20 Meadow Pipits flew off the fields and 24 Black-tailed Godwits were with a few Wigeon and Teal along the banks of the rife.
Two Bearded Tits were reported over the reeds behind the wall, a Kingfisher flew through, 17 Grey Herons were in and around Owl Copse, and a Linnet, a Chiffchaff, four Greenfinches and a Reed Bunting were along the bushes, whilst a Great Crested Grebe was on the Breech Pool and three Buzzards, two Marsh Harriers and a Sparrowhawk were further back over the fields.
Out in the harbour there were c200 Brent Geese and a few Wigeon, Teal, and Pintail but Lapwing numbers were down considerably, with just c100 seen, and in the paddock, there were just two Pied Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, a Jay and a Green Woodpecker. (LL/MJa/LP/SP/TRH/CT et al)
Runcton: A walk south of the village this morning produced two Mute Swans, two Greylag and six Egyptian Geese, 29 Shelducks, 20 Mallard, eight Gadwall, 20 Shovelers, ten Teal, four Pochard, nine Tufted Ducks, two pairs pairs of Little Grebes, two Grey Herons, four Common Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, a Peregrine, 37 Coots, Green and a Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Skylark, two Chiffchaffs and two Long-tailed Tits, (CRJ)
