Selsey Bill: There wasn't too much going on this morning, though a Great Northern Diver was on the sea, an Arctic Skua dropped in on the distant feeding flock and a few Gannets and Razorbills went west. Full log below. (AH)

Ferry Pool: A Green sandpiper was at the back this morning, and there were also three Avocets, c20 Lapwings, c40 Shovelers and c100 Teal present. (AH)
Selsey: The Black Redstart was still present in our garden in the middle of the town. (RS)
Church Norton: There was very little to report on the very high tide this morning, though two Swallows were feeding over the harbour, where a few Redshanks, Wigeon, Teal and Brent Geese were all that could be seen, otherwise, whilst a Mistle Thrush and a couple of Goldcrests and Jays was it for the churchyard/hide area. North Wall: Five Rock Pipits were along the rocks, but it was quiet along the wall in the blustery conditions, with just a couple of Reed Buntings, a Stonechat and a Kingfisher along the bushes, and a Water Rail at Owl Water, together with a Little Grebe and a Shoveler.
On a very high tide, there was a lot of wader movements around the harbour, with 10 Snipe, 60 Lapwings, 38 Black-tailed Godwits, 40 Redshanks, a Spotted Redshank, 31 Curlews, 26 Grey Plovers and 36 Dunlin seen, whilst on the water there were 12 Brent Geese, 36 Shelducks, 150 Wigeon and 120 Teal. Medmerry: Windmill area - There was a very skulking Black Redstart at the back of the funfair this morning, but a pair of Stonechats and two or three Meadow Pipits were the only other things about, along with a couple of Mediterranean Gulls on the beach. (AH)
