Monday 17th June
Peninsula A quiet day, with work interfering with the birdwatching. No reports received from anyone and my only news as follows -  Church Norton this evening, 60 Sandwich Terns and 30 Common Terns milling around Tern Island, and the Ferry, 7 Avocet, 16 Black-Tailed Godwit, 30 Shelduck, 14 Teal and 6 Redshank.

Selsey Bill Another Storm Petrel reported this evening - this time by SR & GH, at 18.50, heading east.

Sunday 16th June

This evening SH had another Storm Petrel at 17.10pm, but yet again I missed it! Otherwise very quiet.

Ferry Pool Still 6 Avocets and c. 20 black-Tailed Godwits present.

Chichester GPs A report on SOS of 2 1st-summer Little Gulls yesterday.

Medmerry Surprised to find a male 'White' Wagtail there this afternoon. Otherwise, 8 Avocets, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 3 Ringed Plover, 1 Redshank and a Cuckoo present.

A sunny but very blustery day making birdwatching difficult at best. Reports thus far -

Selsey Bill, 5.45 to 9.30, WSW6, cloud/sun:
Gannet - 142E, 21W,
Fulmar - 2E, 11W,
Common Scoter - 200E, 2W,
Whimbrel - 1W,
Curlew - 1W,
Sanderling - 1ob,
Oystercatcher - 1ob,
Arctic Skua - 2E,
Kittiwake - 1E, 6W, 1os,
Sandwich Tern - ca. 20os,
Common Tern - 14W, 9os,
Little Tern - 4os,
Guillemot - 1os,
Razorbill - 1W

Church Norton Still plenty of activity around Tern Island, with 30+ Sandwich Tern, 20+ Common Tern & up to 10 Mediterranean Gulls hanging around the area. Otherwise pretty quiet, bar 5 Black-Tailed Godwits.
Ferry Pool 12 Avocets, 23 Black-Tailed Godwits and a House Martin today.
Sidlesham Very pleased to see the Swallows that nest in our shed have fledged 6 young, sat out of the wind this afternoon.

Selsey Bill pm - highlights were 2 Manx Shearwater close inshore going west, 1 Arctic Skua and 5 Sanderling east and plenty of Gannets offshore. (SH, JA, GH & AH)
